The Sea-ducer was designed by Veteran saltwater angler Chico Fernandez, which is a variation of Rhodes' Tarpon Fly. A proven all around saltwater attractor...not to mention a super freshwater bass and pike fly. It's even mention in Lefty Kreh's book Fly Fishing for Bass as one of his favorites, calling it a "red/ and white hackle fly".
Lefty Kreh, in his book Saltwater Fly Patterns, says he particularly likes this fly in red/white for Redfish. "The stiff hackle helps keep the fly suspended in the water...great for shallow water fishing"
The Whistler is a fly designed by Dan Blanton and is another fly that almost all fresh and saltwater predator fish will strike. These are professionally tied on mustad stainless #34007 saltwater hooks, about 4 inches long. "This is a very very effective fly on a multitude of species", says Lefty Kreh in his book on saltwater flies.
