The Surf candies are flies designed by Bob Popovics and have become an exceptionally popular saltwater fly. The epoxy head makes it extremely durable even with toothy fish like bluefish.
This "Bonita" surf Candy got it's name because Bob had exceptional luck with this fly while fishing for bonito in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Available in black, lime and pearl and now root beer, a perfect mullet pattern.
Pro tied on sticky sharp Daiichi stainless #2546 saltwater hook in size 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0. (1/0, 2/0 and 3/0 in root beer only) They're about 4.5 inches long for 1/0 and 2/0, and 6 inches long for 3/0. (15 cm)
