Wet flies had been the mainstay of fly fishing until the mid 1900's. Although the popularity of the wet fly has diminished, having  been largely replaced with a wealth of more accurate imitations, wet flies are attractive, and fun to fish . Since trout will still smash a Silver Doctor fished down-and-across stream, wet fly angling still has it's partisans, including myself, so we care 30 or more of the classic patterns in our store.

The Professor   has been a popular brook trout pattern for many years in New England, and one of the best patterns for large bream.
