Corixa, or the nymph stage of the "water boatman" insect, has been a standard  pattern  in Europe for years and really needs no introduction. Not just for trout and bream, as  I understand it is also a top Carp pattern.

This is one of the top "all purpose nymphs",  covering many insects.
