The Merkin permit crab designed by Del Brown for permit, is probably the most popular crab pattern today. It has also been very effective on other species as well. Pro tied on chemically sharpened Japanese Dai-Riki 930 saltwater hooks, weighted with small plated lead eyes.(3mm to 5mm)
