This is an egg and sperm fly.  Who knows if such a thing occurs in nature. Regardless, this is a very effective fly that seems to work best when the water is very clear. Amber is the color of a real steelhead egg. It can also be used where egg flies are not considered "flies", and the marabou can be trimmed or removed as desired.
