The Birds Nest was designed by Cal Bird many years ago for catching Truckee River trout. Andy Burk, of the Reno Fly Shop, has helped to make these one of the top recommended flies for western rivers. These are tied using Andy's recipe. You can check it out if you Google "Burk's bird nest nymph". He has a You-tube video. They are lightly weighted on the hook shank with lead wire.
Available on our web site in four colors. Grey, dark olive, light olive, and tan in sizes from #8 to #22. Pro tied on sticky sharp chemically sharpened Japanese Dai-Riki hooks.
